Harter Secrest & Emery Continues Giving Tradition

In participation with the community project of Community Place of Greater Rochester, employees of HS&E have donated food, presents and funds to prepare holiday food baskets for twenty-four (24) needy families in the Rochester area. For the 17th consecutive year, HS&E employees will join together Saturday morning, December 17, 2005, at 9:00 a.m. in the Bausch & Lomb Wintergarden to sort, pack, and deliver food donations. Every year, HS&E collects hundreds of food items and cash donations, enough to accommodate all of the adopted families with the excess being donated to Community Place’s family and emergency services department, which offers support services to families throughout the year.

Ross Lanzafame, partner of Harter, Secrest & Emery and vice president of the board of Community Place, along with Diane Walker a paralegal with the firm, have organized the efforts and successfully promoted the spirit of giving. Every year there is enough food and money left over to make an additional donation to Community Place’s family and emergency services department, which offers additional support services to many families throughout the year.

This year’s donation recipients range in age from 8 months to 51 years. Each family receives food for approximately one week as a result of the Firm’s efforts, as well as gifts for the adults and children. The volunteers will get the chance to deliver and meet the families whom they helped feed and clothe this year.
