Workshop Synopsis
People with disabilities are engaged in the workforce in larger numbers than ever.  It is critical that HR professionals are the organizational experts filling two very different roles when bringing people with disabilities into their workforce.

The recruitment / hiring phase requires all employees involved in the interview process are prepared to successfully accommodate disabilities. Retaining people with disabilities results from successfully tapping their talents and helping them become a part of the organization.  Co-workers and supervisors who have not worked with a person with disabilities look to their HR professional for guidance and support as they integrate their new staff member into their organization.

VESID offers a number of free and subsidized support systems that minimize the employer's financial and legal exposure while creating the most comfortable work environment, not only for the disabled employee but for their co-workers as well. This workshop allows you to learn from their powerful experiences and expertise.  They regularly help HR professionals recruit, hire and accommodate the disabled worker's needs.  We will learn from the experiences of many Rochester area employers and you will leave fully prepared to engage persons with disabilities in your workplace.

Join dozens of HR colleagues in this important workshop where you will learn to successfully lead these HR processes.  You'll also learn of the wide variety of valuable services area organizations offer you in assuring your company benefits from the talents and abilities of all employees.
